What is a Closed IPO?

A closed IPO refers to an initial public offering where the subscription period has ended, and no new bids can be placed. At this stage, shares have been allocated to investors based on demand, and the IPO moves toward listing on the stock exchange. Once the IPO is closed, the opportunity to invest directly in the IPO is no longer available, though shares can be purchased in the secondary market after listing.
